Unmarked grave of Dorcas Chapman and her baby Dorcas,
died Oct. 1871 and April 1872 in Dunedin NZ. Second wife and third
daughter of Richard Chapman, Jean 's great great uncle, who went to the Australian goldfields in 1852 and to the Otago NZ goldfields in 1864. Their grave is in the Western cemetery Dunedin, Otago Province and we have daisies from this plot. Richard returned to England with his children Pamela and John Alfred, became a grocer (a safer occupation)and died in 1908 in Pontesbury Shropshire where he was born. He is buiied beside his first daughter Martha who was born in Australia in 1857. Richard did not
remarry, having lost two wives.
