The Parma chook house showing the way in. The house (tractor) was built
for us by Reg Peerless. It moves around on wheels so the chickens can have fresh
pasture all day. They have soya beans, museli and warm milk with a sprinkle
of sunflower seeds for breakfast. They are allowed to free range from 4.30
to 5.30 when they put themselves to bed. The house has a separate floor of wire
on a frame for the evenings, so the fox cannot burrow in. In the mornings the house is wheeled off the floor and grass eating and scratching begin again. The pipe contains their water and helps to keep it clean. Pretty nifty?
