Last day of April, just before a welcome
thunderstorm
. The classic shape of a metasequoia,
liquidambar, Queen Elizabeth and Avon roses and the little annexe at Tingiringi.

No, this is not Zoe Sadler, but her smiling friend
(except at dinnertime) Bramley Esler, newly
arrived from the UK
. Bram is almost wearing
his heart on his sleeve in the brisk Huskisson
wind late in April. We enjoyed his visit, and think he enjoyed the sirloin and cheese. A lovely dog, in a classic poodle pose.

"Old" (mmm!) friends meet again in a new location.
Welcome home Jill, Stuart and the smiling Bramley - with Jean, Eddie and Zoe at the Parma Farm and Moona Moona Creek, Jervis Bay, late in April. It was hot one day and cold the next - that's April weather!  Posted by Picasa

Jean Robertson (Rodway/Sadler) age 5, last voyage of the
Chitral 1949. My mother's scarf and a coffee bead necklac(I still have
some of the coffee bean beads). En route to Australia on a
voyage to save my life. It seems to have worked. Thank-you to my parents for leaving home and family for me.  Posted by Picasa

A competition snap for so many Australian Sadler photos! This is a
rare photo of three very English children in Colombo in 1949
.
Guess who is wearing the necklace? How outpost of the Empire is this? Does our rickshaw puller have a six pack or is he really malnourished as I now seriously suspect? My brothers are
John and Stuart. We've all changed a lot. Posted by Picasa
